Focused Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced & driven HR Business Partner to join our clients busy HR Department at their Manufacturing plant based within the Blackwood area.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a well-established organisation, partnering closely with managers to deliver both strategic and operational HR support across the business. Reporting to the Head of HR, the role is primarily based at their Blackwood manufacturing plant however occasional travel may be required to support their other manufacturing plant.
The ideal candidate will have strong HR generalist experience within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to manage a varied workload and priorities effectively. You will be confident influencing stakeholders at all levels, possess excellent communication skills, and have a solid understanding of employment law. The role also requires resilience and the ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
Hours of work:
Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Fridays 8.30am – 3.30pm
Key duties / responsibilities would include:
- Contribute to business strategy discussions with senior management, providing HR insight and guidance.
- Support and communicate organisational change initiatives across the business.
- Partner with department leaders to identify skills gaps and workforce requirements to meet business objectives.
- Develop and implement recruitment, training, succession planning, and restructuring initiatives.
- Coach and support managers and supervisors to effectively lead, motivate, and develop their teams.
- Lead employee engagement, wellbeing, and employee relations activities.
- Monitor and analyse HR metrics, measuring performance against key KPIs.
- Manage employee onboarding, right-to-work checks, and provide support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Coordinate internal and external recruitment activities.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance processes and hearings.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries and maintain the HR inbox.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures
Essential criteria for the role:
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Resilient and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar HR role.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Proven experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within a unionised environment.
