Production Machine Operator

Focused Recruitment are currently seeking a number of Production Machine Operators to join our clients global manufacturing site in the Blackwood area.

The desired candidate will have a prior production/manufacturing background, familiar working to production KPI’s and targets, operating an array of production machinery within a process heavy environment.

Hours of work:

Three shift pattern Days, Nights & Afternoons on a weekly rotation Monday-Friday (no weekends)

• Day shift - 06:00am - 14:00pm Monday - Friday. £14.16 per hour.
• Night shift - 22:00pm - 06:00am Monday - Thursday. £17.01 per hour.
• Afternoon shift - 14:00pm - 22:00pm Monday - Friday. £15.77 per hour.

Overview of the role:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery such as extruders, mixers, and pelletizers
• Weigh, mix, and feed raw materials into production equipment according to batch formulations and work instructions.
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure consistency in colour
• Record production data, material usage, and equipment settings accurately in logs or digital systems.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Clean and maintain work areas and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure safe operations.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or product quality issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Assist with packing, labelling, and storing finished products according to warehouse or dispatch requirements.

The desired candidate:

• Able to work to targets/production KPI's & production schedules.
• Be able to work as part of a team.
• Previous relevant manufacturing /production experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety in the work place.
